When you want your Teams call to feel more like an actual event with registration, reminders, presenters, and a little more control over the experience Teams Webinars is the answer.
Here’s the quick version. (microsoft adds/removes features often, so I wont go through every detail)
1. Create the webinar
Open Microsoft Teams on your computer, not the website:

On the left toolbar, select your Calendar Icon.
Upper Right → New ▼(Make sure you click the little down arrow) → Webinar
Side note: MS is launching a new Webinar Event experience. If you're prompted on your screen to try it, give it a shot!!

Add your:
Title/Event Name
Date and time
Description
Presenters
Co-organizers, if needed
Choose whether the webinar is Public(most likely) or limited to people in your organization.
If you want another person outside your organization to be able to present during the event, add them as a External Presenter.
You just follow the prompts down the page.
2. Set up registration
If you want to know who and how many are attending, you need registration. If you don't care, then you don't need it. Anyone can join from the link you send.
Registration means they pre-register, requires a few clicks for them prior to the event, they get reminders and you know whos coming.
No registration means, they do nothing, just remember to join the link on the day of the event.
You can customize Registration.
First name, last name, email are already required, but you can also capture anything else you might want during registration.
Business Name
Account #'s
A place for them to input a comment
Add any information you want attendees to provide when they register. Teams will use this page as the public landing page for your event.
3. Publish it

Preview the event page by clicking the "Preview". This is what people will see. Spend some time and customize this page. Update the image, make sure your date and times are all correct.
Then select Publish site.

Once published, copy the registration link and use it anywhere you want:
Email
Website
Social media
Teams or chat
Attendees register through the link and receive their own event information by email.
4. Run your webinar
Presenters join much like a normal Teams meeting, but attendees have more limited microphone and camera permissions.
Afterward, Teams provides registration and attendance reporting.
That’s it!
If you already know how to schedule a Teams meeting, creating a webinar only adds a few extra steps—and gives you a much better experience when you’re inviting a larger audience.
